The game captures Springfield and the look of the show better than any other Simpsons game before it.Д¬ons: The cartoon / cel-shaded look definitely doesn't push the PS3 or Xbox360 or is all that impressive up to other next gen games.

Graphics: 8/10 r>Pros: Playing this game is like playing the TV show. Pros: Each family member has a different skill set, the levels offer a great variety and reference many classic episodes.Д¬ons: Gameplay is a heavy copycat of 3rd person platformers and even includes a troublesome camera and resulting frustration. Basically, it's a really long episode of the Simpsons, as an episode it's spectacular.as a game, it's short. It is a licensed game that features all the voice actors (there's over 8,000 original lines for the game or something ridiculously high) and some animated segments/shorts. The Simpson's Game is yet another game starring America's beloved dysfunctional family. See Videos and Pictures to go along with this Review. Well this could have been a fun game, the idea of rebuilding a little Springfield sounded great but itВ’s just dull. I understand free to play games need to have premium currency but it has to be balanced right. and thereВ’re buildings worth hundreds of donuts. But here pretty much the only time youВ’re given a donut is when you level up, and they give you one measly donut, one. at least in a game like Pocket Planes you can earn plenty of the premium currency by simply playing the game. There are only a small handful of premium buildings and characters that require donuts to unlock, everything else can be earned through slow and steady gameplay. Well Bajo you donВ’t actually need Donuts to play most of the game. ItВ’s like В“Hey we know this is a terrible way to design a game but we did it anyway, now hand over your cash and buy some donuts.В” Yeah but I thought those jokes just added insult to injury. And at least they seem very aware of what kind of game it is, with lots of self-referential jokes about it how dull it is. Well DARREN IВ’ll admit theyВ’ve done a good job getting the look and feel of it spot on. Well personally IВ’ve been running this game at a vastly increased clock speed and have found it somewhat enjoyable, levelling up, unlocking new characters and buildings, and designing my Springfield. Yeah IВ’m with you on that Bajo, I mean, you can plant a crop of Corn on CledusВ’s farm that will take ninety days to grow, whereВ’s the fun in waiting for ninety days? What kind of gameplay is that? What madness is this?! TheyВ’re basically making games boring or even unplayable for hours or days to encourage you to go and spend money on boxes of virtual donuts, or smurfberries or whatever it is to make the game actually half playable. I gotta say, this kind of game design has always felt a bit evil to me, and I donВ’t say that lightly. the kicker is Donuts take forever to earn in the game, but can be easily purchased for a not-insignificant amount of real money. Yeah, itВ’s a free to play game but everything you do takes ages, but of course you can spend Donuts to make it happen instantly. and you can also visit your friends Springfields once a day and help out collecting a bit of money. Then once theyВ’re done you tap on them, and bundles of XP and cash come flying out. You start off with more or less nothing and very slowly expand your virtual town, putting characters onto long quests and constructing buildings that can take hours or days to complete. For example Flanders shows up when you build his house.ДЄnd anyone whoВ’s played games like Farmville or Smurf Village will be quite familiar with how this all you works. At first the only character you have is Homer, but then as you build certain buildings more characters from the cast are introduced. Then itВ’s up to you to clean up the radioactive waste and rebuild Springfield. The game starts off with a scene that could be ripped straight out of the show, Homer is goofing off at work playing his MyPad, when the Nuclear Plant blows up and wipes Springfield off the face of the Earth. And now the two have been combined in The Simpsons: Tapped Out. We love a good city building game here at Spawn Point, and weВ’re pretty big fans of The Simpsons too.
